Privacy Policy
Effective date: 12 August 2026
ShortUs (“we”, “us”) is an automated short-form video service operated by FastView Korea. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we store and delete it — with particular attention to data we access through Google APIs and YouTube API Services when you connect a YouTube channel.
By connecting a channel or using the service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not connect a channel.
1. Who we are
Service: ShortUs. Operator: FastView Korea. Contact for privacy questions: viewussupport@fastviewkorea.com.
2. Information we collect and access
Account information you provide: email address and the display name of your content-provider organization, used to authenticate you and scope your data.
Google / YouTube data (only after you connect a channel via Google OAuth): your YouTube channel identifier and title, your channel’s uploads playlist, OAuth access and refresh tokens, the videos we upload on your instruction and their metadata, and YouTube performance metrics (views, watch time, subscribers and related YouTube Analytics figures). We request only the scopes needed to upload and manage the videos you ask us to publish and to show you their performance.
TikTok data (only after you connect an account via TikTok Login Kit): your TikTok open ID, display name and profile picture, OAuth access and refresh tokens, the creator settings TikTok returns when you publish (nickname, the privacy levels available to you, and whether comments, Duet or Stitch are turned off on your account), and the videos we post on your instruction together with their post identifiers. We request only the scopes needed to identify your account and publish the videos you ask us to publish.
Operational data: records of the videos we produce and publish for you (publication history), and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
Waitlist information (only if you sign up for updates on our website): your email address, and optionally your name and company/role. You provide this yourself, with your explicit consent, when you submit the sign-up form on our landing page.
3. How we use information
To upload and publish short-form videos to the YouTube channel you connected, only when you (or an operator acting on your behalf) instruct us to; to manage those videos (for example, changing visibility or correcting metadata); and to show you performance metrics and monetization progress for videos we published.
To publish short-form videos to the TikTok account you connected, only when you (or an operator acting on your behalf) instruct us to. We read your TikTok creator settings immediately before each post so that the publishing screen offers only the privacy levels and interaction settings your account actually allows.
If you join our waitlist, we use your email address only to send you launch news and beta invitations. You can unsubscribe or request deletion at any time.
We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it. We do not use it to build profiles for purposes unrelated to the service.
4. YouTube API Services
ShortUs uses YouTube API Services. By connecting your channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and acknowledge Google’s handling of your data under the Google Privacy Policy.
You can review and revoke ShortUs’s access to your Google data at any time through the Google security settings page, or by disconnecting the channel inside ShortUs.
5. TikTok API
ShortUs uses the TikTok Login Kit and the TikTok Content Posting API. By connecting your account you also agree to the TikTok Terms of Service and acknowledge TikTok’s handling of your data under the TikTok Privacy Policy.
We publish only the videos you explicitly select, with the privacy level and interaction settings you choose on the publishing screen. We never post on your behalf without an instruction from you or from an operator acting for you.
You can revoke ShortUs’s access at any time by disconnecting the account inside ShortUs, or from the TikTok app under Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions. The TikTok Content Posting API provides no deletion endpoint, so a video that is already published must be deleted in the TikTok app.
6. Limited Use of Google user data
ShortUs’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Storage, security, retention and deletion
We protect the information we access — including sensitive Google and YouTube user data — using industry-standard security measures. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS, and OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to the authenticated systems that publish and manage your videos, and all access to your media is performed over authenticated, time-limited links. We host the service on reputable infrastructure providers bound by confidentiality obligations, and we maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
When you disconnect a channel, we revoke and erase its OAuth tokens and delete the authorized YouTube data associated with that connection (metrics and tracking records) within 7 days. We retain a minimal publication history (a record of the actions we took on your behalf) for accountability; this contains no Google authorization tokens.
The same applies when you disconnect a TikTok account: we revoke the authorization with TikTok and erase the stored access and refresh tokens within 7 days, keeping only the publication history, which contains no TikTok authorization tokens.
Waitlist data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, at which point we delete it promptly; we may also delete inactive sign-ups after a reasonable period.
8. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your information. We share it only with infrastructure providers that host the service on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law. Data accessed through Google APIs is not shared for any purpose other than providing the features described above.
9. Your choices
You may disconnect a connected channel at any time inside ShortUs, and you may independently revoke access from your Google Account permissions. You may contact us at viewussupport@fastviewkorea.com to request access to, or deletion of, your information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
